The Ba’ath party in Iraq and the invasion of Iran
The result of the imposed war:
Simultaneously with the adoption of Resolution 598 in 1988, eight years after the start of the war, Saddam and the Ba’ath party were at the beginning point.
Some of the factors that led to the defeat of Iraq are:
– Faith and belief of Iranian warriors.
– Saddam’s supporters despair of the fall of the Islamic Republic.
– The popularization of war.
– Adoption of Resolution 598.
At the end of the war, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Javier Parzdouquier, officially issued a statement calling Iraq the “initiator of the war.”
